How It Works

The M120 combines two detection principles to identify biological particles as they occur:

Particle detection — Mie scattering
Biological particle detection — Laser-induced fluorescence

Real-Time Results with BAMS

Conventional airborne microbial monitoring relies on interval-based, ad-hoc, or event-triggered sampling, and then requires incubation for results. The BAMS counts microbes as autofluorescence units (AFU), and results are available immediately, with no culturing or manual counting required.
